SWI as a promising tool comparable to CT perfusion in evaluation of acute cerebral infarction

Abstract Background The recent advances in magnetic resonance imaging techniques have improved the assessment of acute stroke. Susceptibility weighted (SWI) has a crucial role management plan cerebral ischemia. This study was aimed to assess susceptibility-weighted area at risk (pneumbra) compared CT perfusion patients with ischemic infraction. Results We found mean aspect score for SWI 4 ± 1.4 and DWI 7.6 1.2; addition, CTP 4.6 1.3. Significant difference is noted between significant p value. But there no ASPECT scores. Conclusion promising technique comparable evaluation penumbra settings infarction.
